Use of the Log Odds Ratio to Assess the Reliability of Dichotomous Questionnaire Data

The use of the log odds ratio to measure test-retest reliability of dichotomous questionnaire response data is discussed. Its application is illustrated using ques tionnaire data on family history of problem drinking. The superiority of the log odds ratio as a measure of reliability of such data is discussed. Uninformative datasets are characterized.
